Welcome to our community website!

Red Mill One is a condominium community of approximately 150 residents, incorporated in 1998. We have 16 buildings, each with 6 units ranging in size from 1 to 3 bedrooms. We share a cabana, outdoor pool, and workout room with Red Mill Two, an adjacent community of individual homes. 

Where are we?   

We are nestled in a valley in the foothills of the Cascades, surrounded by greenbelt, in the unincorporated Fairwood area of King County, Washington. We have Renton addresses, but we are in the Kent School District. The crossroads known as Fairwood – under a mile away – offers restaurants, a library, shopping, churches, a gym and pool, a fire station, and a police substation. Nearby, there are both public parks and a golf course, as well as a private swim and golf club.

Who are we?

We are a diverse community of ages and cultures, comprised of retirees, commuters, and those who work from home. Over 80% of units are owner-occupied. Many residents have lived here for years. We have an active homeowners' association (HOA) that strives to align the community's vision with a maintenance plan to minimize risk and foresee expenditures. The community is financially healthy with invested reserve accounts to fund maintenance projects. With few exceptions, homeowner dues are paid on time, and the community's rules and regulations are respected. Macpherson's Property Management is our longstanding fiscal agent. providing advice on scheduling, maintenance projects, and outreach to vendors. We are members of the Washington State Chapter of the Community Association Institute.
